hardware related are, in fact, related to software or the Operating system. We
will find the problem and recommend the most cost effective solution.
Upgrades (Memory,
Hard Drive, Video, etc)
The nice thing about computers, is that they can almost always grow to
accommodate your changing needs. We are specialists in refurbishing PC's.
Sometimes a new machine really is the best solution, but often a much more
affordable approach is to upgrade the one you have. We will give you a fair
evaluation either way.
Data Transfer
Probably the most agonizing part of getting new machine, is making sure you
keep all that valuable information from your old machine. From Address Books,
to Word files, even Web Shortcuts or "Favorites," we can make sure all
your critical information is moved in an appropriate fashion.
Home Networking
One of the first things to consider when you have more than one machine, is
setting them up to share your Internet Connection, Data Files, and Printer(s). It's
one of those things you don't really appreciate fully until you have used it.
Besides the convenience of being able to access the Internet from any machine,
a simple network can also
help keep your data and address books centralized so they are never "out of
sync" between machines, and valuable data can be easily backed up from a single location.
Data Backup
Backup of data is an often overlooked task...that is, until you have an
unrecoverable crash. Many folks don't realize just how much important data
they accumulate over time. Financial data, Address Books, even Internet
Shortcuts can be anything from a major nuisance to a major
catastrophe to loose. But basic backups can be made very simple and
highly automatic.
Data Recovery
When the worst does happen, all is not necessarily lost. We do not specialize
in hardware based data recovery (disassembly of the hard drive etc) but many
times data can be recovered with software utilities, if the drive is still
functioning at all.
Regular Maintenance
Hard drives are a bit like linen closets. Things go in and out, but more in
than out. Eventually things get over-stuffed, or even just hard to use. In the
case of the PC, this can adversely affect the whole machine. Windows is
subject to getting more and more bogged down as time goes on. Eventually, we
all face the ultimate closet cleaning, wiping the hard drive clean and
reinstalling Windows, but in the mean time a good regimen of "PC Hygiene" can
help keep things run smoothly for a long time.

Consulting
Buying new PC and PC related hardware can be more complicated than buying a
new car. There are so many buzz words it will cause anyone to get frustrated.
Sometimes things that look like a good deal, really aren't. And sometimes,
something that looks expensive, really isn't in the long run. We can help sort
through the variables, including the most important, your end use, and help come up
with economical and effective purchase choices.
Phone Support in 1/4 Hour
Increments
Some problems can be solved over the phone. For that, we offer phone support
billed in 15 minute increments. A quarter hour to half hour tends to be a
standard length of time for phone workable solutions. If it is a longer call
than that, it's probably worth hands on service.

1 Hour Minimum, ½ Hour Increments After The 1st Hour
